GDS seeks head of campaigns

Salary of £60k on offer for professional to drive long-term comms projects

The Government Digital Service is seeking a head of campaigns to create and deliver the organisation’s plan for “strategic, long-term communications about GDS programmes and services”.

The role, which will be housed within the organisation’s central Communications and Engagement team, comes with a responsibility to “plan and deliver campaigns that drive the messaging, timing and format of all GDS communications, from blogs and videos to events and social media”.

The chosen candidate will head up a four-strong team which is required to work with other government agencies and private-sector organisations in delivering campaigns. These projects will support and promote not only the work of GDS, but also other government initiatives such as SmarterGov and A Brilliant Civil Service. Such work will be prioritised on a quarterly basis, GDS said.
