The Ministry of Defence has signed a £48m four-year deal for the provision of a range of office machinery and tech supplies.

The deal, which came into effect on 25 January, was awarded through the third lot of the Crown Commercial Service Office Supplies framework.

This lot features a single supplier, XMA, and covers IT peripheral goods such as USB sticks, mice, and external hard drives, as well as fax machines, calculators, laminators, and paper shredders. It also includes ink and toner cartridges for printers and fax machines, as well as collection and recycling of spent cartridges.

XMA has been contracted to deliver goods and services to MoD locations across “approximately 1400 postcodes throughout the United Kingdom”.

The IT company will be expected to offer the ministry a number of delivery options, including “next day, twice weekly, weekly, desktop delivery, delivery to a single point, multi-drop deliveries, electronic and manual transactions, [and] ad hoc delivery requests which may include next-day delivery”.

The deal runs until 24 January 2025.
